Welcome to Calvary Chapel Greensboro! We are delighted that you have chosen to learn more about our fellowship. Our mission is to be servant leaders who reach the lost and broken with the Gospel of Jesus, to love and help one another in daily life, and to teach people the Bible and how to follow Jesus. Our church is a place that encourages and nurtures the gifts and talents of people to get them involved and make a difference in the lives of others.  We are not part of any denomination, but we are affiliated with the Calvary Chapel Association of Churches, and we share these common beliefs:

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, and without error authoritative Word of God. Therefore, we place great emphasis on the teaching of the Bible verse-by-verse in our services, and look to the Bible to be our first and primary source for help and direction in our lives.
We believe that there is one true living God, who eternally exists as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that God the Son, Jesus Christ, was born of a virgin, led a sinless life, worked miracles, and died on the cross to pay for the sins of every person. We also believe Jesus rose from the grave in His resurrected body on the third day after His death, and then ascended to the right hand of God.
We believe that Jesus paid the price for our sins by dying on the cross and resurrecting from death. Therefore, we believe salvation is available to anyone who asks Jesus to forgive their sins and receives Him as their Lord and Savior by confessing Him with their mouth and believing in Him in their heart. We believe salvation is a free gift and cannot be earned but it will be accompanied by a change in lifestyle and confirmed by good works which demonstrate a changed heart.
We believe prior to conversion the Holy Spirit is "with" us convicting us of our sin and showing us our need of salvation in Jesus Christ. After conversion we believe the Holy Spirit, comes to live inside ever believer and enables us to live a godly life; He comforts, teaches, guides, and empowers us to tell others about Jesus Christ. We also believe the Holy Spirit fills believers to "overflowing" equipping and enabling us to minister to others in the name of Jesus Christ.
We believe it is important to be obedient to the Bible. Therefore, we practice water baptism as an outward expression of an inward change, and we celebrate communion as a remembrance of what Jesus did for us and His promise to return for us. We see both of these as institutions Jesus commanded believers to observed, not out of compulsion to maintain our salvation, but of simple obedience because of our love and devotion to follow Him.
