FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The service experiences at Calvary Chapel include worship music, a message, and a time of prayer for anyone who wants it at the end of the message. The music is led by our worship leaders along with a live band, prayer is led by our elders and their wives, and the messages are verse-by-verse through the Bible delivered by our Pastors and/or an occasional guest speaker. The messages focus on presenting the truth of the Bible with“handles” anyone can grab hold of and put to use in their daily life; and so you can expect to be both encouraged, challenged, and exhorted by our Pastors as they deliver to you the whole counsel of the Bible in context! Each Sunday service lasts for approximately 90 minutes and you're welcome to bring food and drinks into the sanctuary; however, we do ask that if you need to leave the sanctuary for any reason after the teaching has started, that upon your return, you take a seat in the rear so as not to disrupt the message. We believe as you worship with us a few times you will find a warm and friendly place where you and your whole family can fit in and begin to use the gifts and talents God has given to each of us!
Our KidsROCK children's ministry is designed for children from birth through fifth grade. Your child will experience age-appropriate teaching, music and fun activities designed to introduce them to a life-changing journey to follow Jesus Christ. KidsROCK is led by staff and volunteers who will be there each week to care for and love on your child. By the way, to help ensure the health and safety of your child, we utilize a check-in and out system that ensures a safe environment and also allows for efficient drop-off and pick-up for parents. For your middle and high schoolers we offer ELEVATE YOUTH every Wednesday @6:45pm here at the church. In Elevate Youth the kids have game time, fellowship time with snacks, and a Bible study to help them deal with the issues of today's youth. (Tayah is the ring leader!)
We dress very casually around here, so can leave your dressy clothes at home, unless you just want to get dressed up! Very likely our pastor will be wearing blue jeans, and in fact during warm weather, don't be surprised to see lots of people in shorts and flip-flops. So don't worry about getting all dressed up for church, just come as you are and be blessed!
We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before the service starts. This will give you time to park, check your kids into their classrooms, and visit the Elevate Youth cafe before the service begins. You'll want to make sure you get into the sanctuary before the music starts, because its a really good time!
Our music style is contemporary with a mix of upbeat and contemplative songs to prepare our minds and hearts to receive the teaching. All the music is played by our worship team which includes vocals, guitars, drums, keys, and occasional special instruments. During worship you're invited to sing out-loud, raise your hands in praise, clap, cheer, and have a wonderful time worshiping God.
We teach verse-by-verse through the Bible so having one with you will help you get a lot more from the message. If you don't own a Bible, no problem, we have one we'd love to give you as our gift to you. Just visit the information center when you 1st arrive and let the attendant know you'd like one of our free Bibles!
